These are just beautiful pictures of tiny beets, carrots, potatoes, spinach, herbs, microgreens and edible flowers which was then turned into a summer vegetable bollito misto - delicate summer vegetables lightly simmered in a vegetable broth and served over truffled polenta - from Cannelle Vanille's post.

tangerine tango splashes

A Sea Tree Park

Dutch architectural firm Waterstudio has come up with a
seriously cool looking structure that will apparently
allow wildlife to thrive in urban areas.

The Sea Tree is essentially a giant floating park, 

which can be located in a river close to the bank. 

It's multiple layers allow various types of wildlife 

to find suitable habitats, with a large proportion

 of the structure housed underwater.

According to the Daily Mail, major cities like London or New York 

could see the introduction of Sea Trees within the next two years.

How amazing is this sea tree? It could be a very good idea to 

have these sea trees in the urban areas so that the animals 

who have lost their habitat can find a place to stay here.

It would be an awesome sanctuary for them.

Would be awesome to see it in real life, up close.

Papercraft Angels

It's strange. I was talking about papercraft yesterday, and while doing my interweb surfing, I chanced upon this blog called All Sorts and whilest I browsed through the blog's freebie section {I am a sucker for freebies!}, I saw this super cute picture of an angel and lo and behold, it was a papercraft angel called The Sweet Heart Angel which was for Valentine's Day.

Without thinking twice about it, I downloaded the PDF {click here to download the PDF} and added it to my list of arts and crafts to do on Pinterest *smiles smiles grin grin* Isn't it seriously so adorable? Am super digging the colours.

I then scrolled down furthur and saw this adorable Starry Christmas Angel as well for Christmas and though both Valentine's Day and Christmas has come and gone, there is no time like the present to start planning *grins*  {You can click here to download the PDF}. Papercraft Cameras

*SNAP SNAP*

I stumbled upon these pretty paper cameras while checking out 

the pretty things on Paper Crave {there is just something about

 paper, cards and such stuff that make me smile like a crazy person}

and had to share them with all of you. 

The art of papercraft {click here, here and here for a taste of 

what it really is or just google papercraft} was introduced

 to by an ex-collegue of mine. He gave me several PDFs and 

all I needed to do was print the PDFs in colour, cut it with a blade 

and then fold and glue the appropriate places and

*tada* I would have a 3D papercraft item.

Note: This is a very delicate form of folding but it's quite interesting.

So for the record, I have not done one yet... but am considering 

to do one for my new home. So scour the interweb I shall for

something suitable for the Love Nest.

Anyways, back to the paper cameras, I just loved the cameras and

loved the retro cameras that Mel Stinger, owner of 

The Stringer's Lil Shop has created. 

They look super cute and fun to make.

It's only been now that I realise that there are seriously so many 

forms of arts and crafts... honestly super endless and time 

consuming. However, as I said in my earlier post on things to do in 

2012, I have to start 'creating art' so I will take things slow, take a 

deep breath, not worry so much about the outcome {ugly or 

otherwise} and just enjoy the process of  creating something.

Valentine's Day in a box

Valentine's Day has come and gone but when I saw this post on

You Are My Fave, I could not not post this lovely idea of 

Valentine's Day in a box.

Filled with a lovely array of all things pink and white, 

such as heart cups, a card,  a flower clip, ribbon, 

heart brads + heart hole punch, clothespins + washi tape, 

Ritter Sport chocolate, balloons, gummy bears 

and other odds and ends, the Valentine's Day in a box 

is just a lovely and sweet gift for that special someone.

I remember making my own little box for my friend 

quite a few years ago. It was a birthday box 

with things I bought for her to relax.

Chocolate, candy, a facial mask, a book, a card and some other

stuff. I reckon sometimes and assortment of smaller gifts as 

opposed to a giant large gift would have the same effect. 

Plus depending on what you put inside, it can be quite cost

efficient as well if you are on a tight budget.

At the end of the day, it is the thought that counts and I am sure

that your friend will enjoy the gift box whatever it may contain.
