'Amazing Things'

Yup. I just did some 'amazing things'!
Am growing my little store bit by bit.
It's a risk {a pretty one} but life and most
decisions often have risks, right?
Anyways, I pray dear God, that these little
'amazing things' will be fruitful if it is your will.

Watch out for more happy posts and
'amazing things' *smiles smiles*

*Note: I so miss blogging.

Happy Friday

Super right and true words.
Today is the last weekday that I get to enjoy doing the things
that make me happy without a care in the world.
I begin yet another new journey this Monday doing something new.
More on this soon... in the meantime...
HAPPY FRIDAY!
I feel its gonna be an awesome one.

Loving what you do

I have been looking for jobs these couple of weeks. Although I would love to remain jobless and try out my
arts and crafts and freelance and stuff, I know that I still crave the challenge of the corporate world and there are so many things that that world can offer {insurance, medical claims and the salary}.

My parents {being Asian and slightly old skool when it comes to careers} are worried about their daughter being jobless and bumming around {even though this is just the 2nd day of me bumming} and yes, I do worry about money and the like but I have offered these worries to God and am instead going to focus my energy and thoughts on making my crafty stuff and writing while looking for a job that I will love.

And the late Mr Jobs was so right. As with all matters of the heart, I will know when I have found it and I am sure the good Lord has a plan for me. I am keeping my eyes peeled and loving what I am doing now while I wait for that job.

The world is amazing!

I am slightly {some may say quite a bit} strange.
hence the world is simply amazing!

Mornings bring new beginnings.
Goodbye difficulties, hurt and sadness
of all yesterdays.

Today is a new day.
And it is all okay in the morning.

Seen @ Favim.Com

Seen @ Bash Please

Am super loving these inspiration boards and walls!
There is seriously such a huge wealth of ideas and
inspiration on the interweb!
Am thinking of developing a large inspiration board for
my study/craft room in the Love Nest and also to beef up the
soft furnishings for the Love Nest!
My fav you ask? Don't have one yet ~ it's going to be tough picking one!!!
Have some ideas already for the living/dining room and our study.
Feel free to provide me with ideas, photos and even Love Nest donations *snickers*

a year halved

Seen @ Banksy Prints

OMG July is here, can you believe it?!? I have barely started on my 2011 to-do list and I only have half a year more {egad!} to get things sorted. Then there is the Project Happily Ever After which I have to yet to really get into and Project Love Nest which is dragging along ssssllllloooowwwwllllllyyyyy. Project Let's Create should now be called Project Let's Just Start and Project Self Improvement a.k.a The Princess Project is not really working.

Work has been keeping me busy. Wanted to yell at my colleague for wrongly accusing me of something but decided to hold it in and be the better person. Have been getting a couple more articles to write for Home & Decor, so that's been good. Compliments from the Editor makes writing all the more enjoyable I have to say *blush blush * grins grins*

Oh yes...
  • My best friend in the whole wide world {the sister of my heart} gave birth to a cute little girl called Lauren {I can't wait to meet her!!!}
  • I had a spot of good news yesterday so am just very happy. A lot of prep work to be done but it's all good - Thank you God!
  • I finally bought the book One Day and yes, it will be the first book I start reading in the Love Nest!

Anyways, it's a warm sunny afternoon and Belle and I are going for a shower - Belle was such a good dog at the vet today *smiles* {I kinda sound like a proud parent don't I}! Then it's off to play with my pretty paper or to clean my closet... pretty paper... messy closet.... pretty paper.... messy closet.... tough choice indeed! *snickers* I also have dinner plans with a bunch of my old friends - it's always great to hangout with the lot of them - laughter usually ensues. Hope all of you have a good weekend ahead. Am trying to fit in some time to edit some photographs of my trip to the Philippines, my trip to Hanoi and loads of other random pretties I have taken. Till then, toodles poodles.

Random Ramblings

Was a little too lazy to blog a full-on post. So here are some of my random ramblings for today. Happy Wednesday!! {its midweek!!! *smiles smiles*}
  • While going through some blogs online, I relised this need to create. So it would be awesome if I could go home now, take out my arts and crafts stuff and finally create something {I have heaps of ideas up my sleeve}. This has also sparked a long dormant desire in me to quickly get my arts and crafts stuff sorted out so that I can move into my Love Nest and have a cosy crafts corner *smiles smiles*
  • Divorcing {which btw, is an ugly ugly word}. I am in the midst of divorcing the old company I used to work for. It’s a hard bittersweet process. At times I am tempted quite often to let this pent up annoyance and irritation out. But I need to stop and check myself since control and patience are virtues I strive to uphold. I just wish there were no stupid and lazy people around and more cooperative people around me. The company and the world at large would surely be a better place if there were more hardworking, cooperative people who used their brains and had good EQ instead of sitting on their behinds, taking 3 hour lunches, coming in late and basically doing jack all and still getting their wages {yes, it is so so so unfair I tell you!}
  • Post it to self to not take offense or care if people don’t invite you for lunch and talk about it right in front of you and then later realise you are there {did I shrink} and then invite you insincerely. Saying ‘no thank you’ and going about my own business would be a better/cheaper lunch.
  • Note to self to never be swayed to buy thick daily planners. The simple pocket book type which has been my friend for several years is good enough. Anyone know where to get a simple pocketbook type one now?
  • It is so awesome to have B  say I am his wife. I feel like giggling every time he says it
  • B and I are going to watch Kung Fu Panda 2 tomorrow *smiles* I can’t wait. I heart free date nights!!
  • I think I will have some tea soon to ease my troubled tummy and to relax some.

An impulse to Soar

There have been many times when I have felt this way...
this exhilaration of wanting to soar instead of creep
but I never raise up to the challenge...
I have had enough though,
the next time this feeling comes along,
I reckon I am going to grab it and soar on wings of eagles
for He gives me strength and He is the wind beneath my wings.
