Inspiring Interiors #15 - Super Stylin' Feature Cupboards

A well styled book case is never easy to achieve.
There are many things to consider, namely the look and feel of your
bookcase the types of items you would like to display and if you are
going to coordinate the display items
i.e. with a certain theme, colour, etc.

I know I haven't blogged a lot lately at this Little Piece of Heaven
but really, really, much has been happening and one of the biggest
news of the year {no I am not preggers} is that we will be moving in
about two months time *woot woot*

This time, we don't have to hunt for the right furniture {we managed
to find all the right pieces over a weekend!} but we would
need to do some minor renovations for the new place. At present,
I am going through several quotes and would dearly love for
this whole process to be over to be honest!

Then there will be the packing *shudder* and
more packing *double shudder*
and then the final move and then sadly,
saying goodbye to our little apartment...
the first home that B and I have together. I will miss it heaps...

Anyways, more on the reno and etc. later on...
there will be plenty of time for that I am sure...
I will leave you now with some inspiring ideas
on styled book cases. Remember though that the
styling has to be entirely about you and not about
whats in and trendy or in fashion at the moment *smiles*
Enjoy these awesome pics. I am surely inspired {plus its been awhile
since I shared any inspiring interiors, right?!}

Kinfolk - An Ode to Ice Cream

Seen here

I have seen Kinfolk magazine on several blogs and it
has been lauded as an inspiring magazine with gorgeous
photos. Having never laid eyes on it in Malaysia, I was
pleasantly surprised to see it on a Malaysian website and
immediately {ok, after a few minutes of deliberating}
decided to just buy a copy of Kinfolk Magazine vol.7
which is an Ode to Ice Cream.
Who am I kidding, with a theme like that, I was a goner!

The website for Kinfolk say that this issue is "..a celebration
of the spring season, focusing on those shared loves that
brings us together: the enjoyment of food, friends, family,
and time spent in community whether around the table
or out-of-doors."  I can't wait to get my copy which
will hopefully be soon-ish *smiles smiles*

And I suddenly have the urge of ice cream *noms*
*huhuhuhu* Have a good day ahead folks.

Interior Ideas #13 - Framed!

For quite some time I have been thinking about feature walls
for the Love Nest. I thought colours and even textures
{exposed brick or wall paper}. In the end however, we just decided
to have a sorta beige-ish colour for the wall with embellishments,
lots of framed photos and pictures and other knick-knacks.

I have several posts lined up which showcases beautiful and
creative feature walls to inspire you {and me} in our quests to
create awesome homes *smiles smiles*
Enjoy these walls and frames.

Apartment Loving #1

Seen @ Simply Grove

This Sydney apartment owned by Gemma Cagnacci
and Andrew Meehan resonates with me.
I love the simple furniture, the pretty bursts of colour in
the framed paintings/prints, mats and rugs, sheets and etc.
It's the kind of homey feeling that I want to achieve
with the Love Nest. Here's to trying *smiles*

Interior Ideas #12: Kid's Rooms

It's quite apparent {if you follow my blog long enough}, that I enjoy
interior design and I love colours. So, it is no surprise I am sure, to
see me trawling the interweb in search of pretty kids rooms.
I stumbled upon Design Dazzle and immediately saw some
interiors that I like.

The first pic has all the colours that I am gravitating
towards these days. In fact, my arts and crafts room cum library
cum study, is painted in a similar colour. I am also loving the pretty
bunting in the first pic. The second pic is pretty and simple which is
always good and the third pic is just a lovely, fun colourful combination.
As for the fourth pic, striped walls is something that I would like to
explore whilst the fifth pic is lovely, a little bit under the
sea/nautical inspired, but its pretty, clean and comfy. The last two pics are
Just so pretty with the last pic having lovely French windows.

Ahhh... kid's rooms. Gotta love them!
Happy Friday all ~ the weekend is almost here!!!
*grin grin smiles smiles*

Interior Ideas #11 - Shelf 'Em Up

Seen @ Simply Grove

I have always wanted to showcase Project Love Nest
and it's rather shameful to note that my home,
a.k.a 'The Love Nest' is in no fit condition for a photo
shoot or for parties. I have heaps of things that I have
yet to do for my home, namely unpacking,
cleaning, hanging, drilling, organising... the usual
things one needs to do when they move or setup a
new place. The thing is that I have been constantly kept
busy and distracted by books, blogs, crafts, TV series
pinterest, Zuma and cups of coffee, shopping and the like.

Anyways, I have always obsessed over shelves.
I love thinking of the kind of shelves to buy, where to
place the shelves and most importantly, what to put
on the shelves. Anyways, hope you liked the round-up
of shelves. More round-ups and shots of inspirations
to come. I have missed posting about them immensely.

Caitlin McGauley Sketches

The Kate Spade ones are super nice.
Would love to have one hanging in my
soon-to-be craft/reading room.
It's a little pricey but then again you never
know... one day's could be tomorrow
*smiles smiles*

For more of Caitlin's sketches, visit her
site, blog or shop *enjoy*
