I will be @ the Supplies Surprise Bazaar #9

Heyya all! The last craft market I participated in, the FUYOH Art Bazaar at Publika, was a success even though the traffic was slow as people were away. I met many wonderful new friends and so many friends came by to say "hello" and show their support and I felt so blessed to have the support from so many people for this little pet project of mine, Hearts & Crafts *smiles*

Now two weeks after the FUYOH Art Bazaar, Hearts & Crafts will be participating in another bazaar, the Supplies Surprise Bazaar #9 which will be held this Saturday, 13 April 2013 from 12pm-7pm *smiles smiles*

This will be my first time at the bazaar and I am a little nervous to say the least. Butterflies are a plenty in my belly but part of the reason why I started Hearts & Crafts was not only to make some profits but to make new friends who are into arts and crafts and who can inspire me and craft with me *smiles* so in that sense I guess I am not so nervous *laughs* So far I have made a couple of craft friends and participated in some craft swaps {will blog about that more} and its been lovely. I enjoy talking to my friends about new techniques or about the various products available or just chatting about what we want to try and make and etc.

I digress... So anyways, I will be at Supplies Surprise Bazaar #9 at B-Free studio and I will be selling my full range of crafts supplies such as my happy washi tape {but of course}, patterned paper straws, stickers, embellishments, post-its, specially designed posters and bookmarks and more. Don't you just love the poster that they created for promotional purposes?

So dear friends, do pen down this rather important date (13 April) and visit the Supplies Surprise Bazaar. Do find below the location of the bazaar {at the BFree Studio} and if you wish to know more about the bazaar and the other lovely vendors {there will be vendors selling fabric, ribbons and all your crafting supplies} and receive updates, do visit the Supplies Surprise FB page or the Handmade Movement blog

I certainly hope to see you all there.
Do drop by to say "hi" when you are there *smiles*
There will be more posts to come.
Have so many ideas but so little time...
Story of my life *huhuhuhu*

Loving this collection!

The Sweet Notes & Colour Composition designed by Alison Kreft for Webster's Pages are just "WOW". I love the colours and I love the designs of the patterned paper and embellishments that I am seeing. I can't wait to get some of these goodies for myself. Read more about these collections here and here

I know I should be blogging about other stuff I am supposed to blog about but I just could not help but do a quick post on these lovely finds. Anyone want to buy me these for my birthday?
Just asking is all...huhuhuhu.
Happy Friday ~ the weekend is just round the corner and mine looks to be awesome. My first book binding class where I will be learning how to do French stitching and watching my first ballet performance {watching the "Nutcracker"} ever and I have wanted to watch one for the longest time. Truly an epic 30th year!

Absolutely Pinwheels

Craft dates/parties are something that I have always
looked forward to attending and I chanced upon this one
from The Handmade Movement and I knew that I just had to
join it. I love pinwheels and can't wait to learn how to make
some. However, I think the best part is just being with like
minded people who enjoy crafts. Am going with Cherrie
and before the pinwheel party, we will be discussing our ideas
on how we can work together. Something is definitely
happening here folks. So wish us luck and if you are free
and want to know how to make pinwheels or just want to
spend an afternoon with crafty friends, visit The
Handmade Movement site to find out more info.

Have a good week ahead folks!
XOXO

Papercraft Angels

It's strange. I was talking about papercraft yesterday, and while doing my interweb surfing, I chanced upon this blog called All Sorts and whilest I browsed through the blog's freebie section {I am a sucker for freebies!}, I saw this super cute picture of an angel and lo and behold, it was a papercraft angel called The Sweet Heart Angel which was for Valentine's Day.

Without thinking twice about it, I downloaded the PDF {click here to download the PDF} and added it to my list of arts and crafts to do on Pinterest *smiles smiles grin grin* Isn't it seriously so adorable? Am super digging the colours.

I then scrolled down furthur and saw this adorable Starry Christmas Angel as well for Christmas and though both Valentine's Day and Christmas has come and gone, there is no time like the present to start planning *grins*  {You can click here to download the PDF}. For more cratfy goodness, you can visit All Sorts blog.

So happy downloading, printing and cutting these super cuties.

Papercraft Cameras

*SNAP SNAP*
I stumbled upon these pretty paper cameras while checking out
the pretty things on Paper Crave {there is just something about
 paper, cards and such stuff that make me smile like a crazy person}
and had to share them with all of you.

The art of papercraft {click here, here and here for a taste of
what it really is or just google papercraft} was introduced
to by an ex-collegue of mine. He gave me several PDFs and
all I needed to do was print the PDFs in colour, cut it with a blade
and then fold and glue the appropriate places and
*tada* I would have a 3D papercraft item.
Note: This is a very delicate form of folding but it's quite interesting.

So for the record, I have not done one yet... but am considering
to do one for my new home. So scour the interweb I shall for
something suitable for the Love Nest.

Anyways, back to the paper cameras, I just loved the cameras and
loved the retro cameras that Mel Stinger, owner of
The Stringer's Lil Shop has created.
They look super cute and fun to make.

It's only been now that I realise that there are seriously so many
forms of arts and crafts... honestly super endless and time
consuming. However, as I said in my earlier post on things to do in
2012, I have to start 'creating art' so I will take things slow, take a
deep breath, not worry so much about the outcome {ugly or
otherwise} and just enjoy the process of  creating something.

Happy crafting all! *smiles smiles*
