Super Stylin #10: Doll's House Party

The pretty desert table.

Welcome to the doll house party!

Such intricate furniture.

Loving the individual table settings especially the pink striped plates
and cups and the super pretty party hat!

I just had to post this adorable little Doll House Party dessert table.
It's cute, has heaps of pink accents and is super unique.
Enjoy the pics *smiles*

Super Stylin #9: Tea Party Weddin'

I just love the styling of this wedding ~ a tea party for a wedding is just a wonderful wonderful idea.
I just love the choice of deserts {especially the lemon cake bites}, the platters to hold the deserts, the pretty bird, the white cage, the unfinished, bare look of the red brick wall and of course the gorgeous tea cups!

It's a pity to note that we will not be able to have wedding like this due to the sheer number of guests that I will be inviting. Furthermore, it will be quite costly to have a themed, pretty wedding such as this {I can imagine the costs for the cakes and sourcing for materials ~ super killer!}... however, I might still be able to pull of a desert table with some of these elements *smiles smiles* {I need to think and plan pronto!}

Pink Bug Wedding

Since I was going all crazy about the Honeysuckle Pink Bug, I thought I would do a simple post about the Pink Bug in weddings and I managed to find 2 lovely inspiration boards to depict how this lovely colour can be used for your wedding.

The first inspiration board by Prima Donna Bride is my favouritest. It is simple and has everything that I love. A gorgeous dress {I need to work on getting a body like that though}, pink blooms akin to what I would like for my wedding, scruptious looking macarons in shades of pink either has a treat or for guests to take away, pink cupcakes and pink cocktails {I would like to think they are cocktails}, lovely pink flower embelishments and a framed words!!! *woot woot*

Then there is the gorgeous to die for flower centrepiece captured by Percy Handmade. Look at the flowers - egad!!! They are seriously so so so gorgeous *sending nudges to B* Yet to have something like this would cost us some serious mullah... unless of course we win the lottery and can spend endless days just doing nothing, being a madam and trying to be a domestic goddess! One can certainly wish *smiles smiles*

Centrepieces and Tablescapes #1

Seen @ Rachel Ray Mag

I believe that presentation is the cherry, nuts and chocolate sauce on top of the ice cream and the dish, cup or bowl or some waffle or cone dish it is served in. Suddenly, a scoop of plain vanilla ice cream is transformed into something entirely different and looks so much more decadent and irresistible {so much so that after having conjured up images of said ice cream sundae, I know would like to have one!}.

So it is with centrepieces and tablescapes or table settings. It creates a feel and mood to the room and transforms a plain room into something new. To me, it is an important element that makes everything extra extra lovely and makes the meal that more enjoyable.

It is sad however that most people I know don't quite take that extra step. I guess its because fresh flowers, pretty serviettes, napkin rings and the like are expensive. Sure there are other creative ways of preparing centrepieces and simple tablescapes but most Malaysians generally just dig in to the food {most of the meals we have are buffet style} without much thought or care to the centrepiece or tablescape that the host has created {what a pity!}.

I will be posting several different posts on centrepieces and tablescapes which will hopefully inspire me when I finally host my first meal at my new home {wish me luck and inspiration for that}! I also hope that all of you reading will be inspired too with these beautiful photos.

Btw, my favourite centrepiece from the photos above was the one with the overturned glasses with the blooms underneath and the candles on the top of the base. Simple and yet impactful - I heart!
