Super Stylin #9: Tea Party Weddin'

I just love the styling of this wedding ~ a tea party for a wedding is just a wonderful wonderful idea.
I just love the choice of deserts {especially the lemon cake bites}, the platters to hold the deserts, the pretty bird, the white cage, the unfinished, bare look of the red brick wall and of course the gorgeous tea cups!

It's a pity to note that we will not be able to have wedding like this due to the sheer number of guests that I will be inviting. Furthermore, it will be quite costly to have a themed, pretty wedding such as this {I can imagine the costs for the cakes and sourcing for materials ~ super killer!}... however, I might still be able to pull of a desert table with some of these elements *smiles smiles* {I need to think and plan pronto!}

Tea Party

I love tea parties. There is just something very nice about sitting around a table and nibbling on little pieces of yummy pastries, cakes and sandwiches and having cups of soothing or refreshing tea. I reckon that tea parties are also an awesome time to catch up and gossip with girlfriends.

One of the most classic tea parties of all time is Alice In Wonderland's tea party with the mad hatter, the march hare and the door mouse. Epic! {Sidetracking a little, everyone should watch and read Alice In Wonderland and Through The Looking Glass - it is awesome and quite crazy!} Well I hope you enjoy these pretty tea party settings below by some really creative people. I thought they were lovely.

Btw, while we are on the subject of tea parties, you should also check out High Tea Society on Facebook - they are based in Australia! Anyone up for a tea party anytime soon???

6 Impossible Things

One of my favourite stories of all time is the Alice In Wonderland books by Lewis Carroll.
It is in "Through the looking glass" that one of my fav quotes lie...

There is no use trying, said Alice; one can't believe impossible things. I dare say you haven't had much practice, said the Queen. When I was your age, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.
‘Through the looking glass’ - Lewis Carroll

I think I should make it a point to believe
six impossible things before breakfast each day and I will start today...
  1. I will receive 12 months bonus in January 2011
  2. I will lose 10kg's by February 2011
  3. Someone will hand me a cheque for RM5 million just because they feel like doing something nice
  4. There would not be such things as death, sicknesses or annoying people
  5. Belle will be an obedient and lovely doggle
  6. There will be no traffic jams, war, famine, natural disasters in the world from this second onwards.

Yes, I tend to get carried away with the impossible things... *snickers*
While we are on the subject of impossible things, I found mrYen's etsy store (again through numerous blog surfing and clicking ) and one of the things on sale was this gorgeous paper cut quote. Go check out mrYen's esty store for more hand cut lovlies.
