and since I am His lowly servant, I will go when He calls.

In Malaysia we seldom if ever, use napkins at home and what a shame that is... after all, when can we use such pretty napkin rings if we don't use napkins? During my trawls through the interweb, I have come across several napkin rings which caught my eye. In fact, should I be living in a western country where napkins at home were a norm, I would so splurge on napkins and gorgeous napkin rings to decorate my love nest {look at the uber cute napkin ring with the nest and two blue eggs - I heart!}. Hope you enjoy these pieces of prettiness!

A good Monday

Today has been another long day. With 3 hours of sleep the day before, I guess the madness has been amplified. Yet here I am, my fingers {one with a newly acquired paper cut - ouch!} dancing over the keyboard feeling the urge to write and sleep at the same time.


I just wanted to say that today has been a pretty good day despite it being so busy and full of silliness belonging to a circus. I felt God's hand in each and everything that I did today and it is such a relief, such a joy to have someone walking beside me. Things went so smoothly for me that it was just so remarkable. I just had to share this with all of you *smiles* Imagine, a Monday being bearable and surprisingly pleasant ~ awesome possum!


Belle has not quite improved. She seems depressed quite a bit and she can't control her bladder resulting in little puddles of pee all over my home. Her appetite has also increased and the little girl keeps trying to steal our food or beg for it until someone gives in and gives her something {it is hard to resist those beautiful eyes!}. I really hope she gets better soon. I miss my funny old Belly.


Well, I should go. Tuesday will be another busy busy day but I am ready for it. Have a good day ahead all and to those hitting the sack, sweet sweet dreams!

Quick Recap

So I am back from Hanoi. Hanoi is a busy busy city and I felt caught up in a whirlwind there. I nearly died several times - the motorbikes and cars have no rules over there it seems and the constant tooting of the horn rings in my ear still. 

Overall, although my trip there was short {and tiring}, it was pretty pleasant. I managed to get some sightseeing down and hope that I can do more touristy things the next time I am there at the end of the month. The food was pretty good, the weather was nice {its spring there}, my room at the Movenpick Hotel was fab, I had a good talk with a friend and had some excellent buys at the market and the best part, I got my Vietnamese coffee!  

Being home is of course awesome. I love coming home and being with B, my family, my friends and of course Belle who is doing better now but still not great. 

B and I went for our 2nd last CMPC {marriage class} today and it was awesome because B spoke from his heart and shared some very personal things with the group. Of course I blubbered like a child when I shared {I so need to control the weeping and blubbering} but I felt very touched about what B had said {I love you B}. It was also sad that our last session would be without our batch since I will be MIA again this weekend due to helping out in CHOICE camp. I have come to enjoy meeting every Sunday at 2pm with these other engaged couples to talk about our journey after marriage {more on this at a later date!}.

Anyways, I know this post is just a bunch of randomness but am just rushing to fill you guys in on what is happening at the moment, which is really heaps of things. April is really a jammed packed month but I am loving it! I gotta get some shut eye now as work begins again {like clockwork} tomorrow. Have a good week ahead all. God bless.

I decided to say "hello" to my old pally, DW, on MSN. Two minutes into the conversation and I'm already agreeing to be her guest blogger. It started out as me trying to get her to be my guest blogger in an attempt to get her to maintain my oh-so-simple web log. After a few "no, you write it(s)" later I found myself typing this quicky right out. I'm such a wimpy little push-over. She suggested that I could do a sort of write-up on Yi Hwa's birthday. And so, that's where we are now: Yi Hwa's birthday, venued at Colossal times, the Curve. Hehe, kidding. Colonnial times, the Curve. She just sent me a picture of herself hugging a tree. Almost looks like she's pole dancing. "Down with deforestation! Up with wood!", This is going to get edited out. 

Certainly. Back to Yi Hwa's birthday we go. So, we were late - Both Yi Hwa and I. I was clever enough to arrive with the birthday girl so no fault or fingers were directed at us. They seemed a little annoyed with our tardyness. I believed they got over that because the other half of the table was absent still. Little did they know that Ronnie was going to make a special appearance that night. I, however, did know because Tania informed me of it.

An unfinished post from my guest blogger Yews from June 2005. I don't think this ever got posted {am too lazy to check}.  Colonial Times has since closed down. The food I recall was pretty decent Indian cuisine. I remember choking at the bill when it came. How time flies *smiles* I am glad to note though that we are all still friends and still doing the birthday dinners! Things like that are just too good to ever give up.

Redang Sunset

I got home at about 10pm yesterday and my tummy was rumbling. I was conjuring up things to eat in my mind on the train ride back home but I had no appetite to eat. Since B is away for work, my brother picked me up from the train station and we headed home. I can't believe I missed poker and dinner with friends tonight for work!!!

Back home, packing commenced as I am flying to Hanoi tomorrow afternoon {am hoping to get some time to walk around and see the sights but I doubt it!}. It's going to be a long day since I am transiting in another airport for 3 hours ~ I should really go to sleep... but I just needed to play 'just one more game' of Zuma {I am pleased to say folks, that I am currently in first place in my list of friends *woot woot*}. Belle is sleeping on her back with her paws all up in the air and her belly heaving away from her heavy breathing. I wish I could just snuggle up next to her to sleep.

Ideas for the Nest #1

Here are some really nice things that I have seen and have fallen in love with. I believe they are also awesome ideas for the nest {Project Love Nest - that is}. I am  seriously thinking of doing the scrabble tile pillow case as its not only real cute but seems simple enough to recreate *grins* Lets see how/when/if I manage to get it done *snickers* 


Then there are the pretty vertical bookshelves which will be just awesome for Project Love Nest as well. It saves space and looks simple. I managed to get some shelving units but they are black shelves from Ikea which is pretty cool too. B and I will be painting it white though these shelves will not be used to store books but will used instead to showcase our toy collection and other odds and ends.


The little Chinese takeaway packages are heaps cute and would be super cute as wedding favours but these thing aren't cheap at all so maybe I will give this a miss. Still I feel inspired when I see these pretty things. The little koala-ish cap is heaps cute as well. I heart!!! I just don't know where I am going to wear this little cutie pie to. The bottle with the sweets and customized label is another awesome idea for weddings/parties. 


The picture of the heart with the words love will look awesome in my new home. Might think of doing something similar {Note: Must dig up old adobe notes from my creative class like 6-7 years ago}. And lastly there is the black and cream living room interior which is real chic. I adore th damask pillow cases and the splashes of bright pink to jazz up the cream and black. I can't get enough of natural light and love love the single easel, lamp and bowl of fruit in front of the window - Simple. Elegant. Chic. *smiles*
